Nepotism: Is it Right or Wrong?

As we know if something has good sides then it has some bad sides too. A similar case is with Nepotism. Nepotism prevails in every part, every profession of the world directly or indirectly. It's good sometimes is bad. Nepotism upgrades and tries to help and solve their problem at any cost. It helps their people but it demotivates the people who are equally or more talented. More talented people compared to the nepotism product are deprived of their opportunity.

The best example where nepotism is prevailing greatly is the Bollywood Film Industry. It has been the hot news of the day since the last few weeks. It all started with the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Whether it's a suicide or a murder it is still not clear and the supreme court of India has just handed over the case to CBI  for further investigation. Hope truth comes out. There are many new talents in Bollywood which are not getting enough support from the industry just because of nepotism and star kids. Star kids who are less talented and does not have great acting potential are getting chances one after another failure and even after not being accepted by the public. It's very easy for star kids to get films and if other movie directors and producers don't let them act in their films then their father or themselves produces or directs the movies and lets their child act in it. One of the great examples of this is Varun Dhawan who is the son of film director David Dhawan. He started his acting career with dharma productions "Student of the year". Other films in which he acted are "Main Tera Hero", "Judwaa 2" and his forthcoming film "coolie No. 1" is directed by his dad David Dhawan and he acted in it.

Similar case with Alia Bhatt who debuted along with Varun has also the same case where her dad Mukesh Bhatt who is a very successful director/producer. Whole Bhatt family belongs to the Bollywood industry. Even if she is not accepted by the public she has her dad and family who can produce and direct a movie and maker act in it. So Alia and Varun never had to and will never have to struggle to get films to act because they have their dad and the whole family after them to support.

Let's take an example of an actor who debuted alongside them but didn't reach the level which Varun and Alia have reached in this industry. He is none other than Siddharth Malhotra. unlike Varun and Alia, Siddharth didn't have any godfather in this industry and that's why he has to struggle and he is still struggling to find and take place in this industry whereas Varun and Alia have already cemented their place in this industry. There are many actors like Siddharth who don't have any godfather in Bollywood and still trying to make a place in Bollywood.

Let us take another example of great talent who got vanished in this nepotism prevailing industry, Sushant Singh Rajput. A great actor who took away his life in June 2020, has openly spoken about nepotism at award shows, interviews, and promotions. As per media, many films were taken away from him like "Befikre", "RamLeelaa", "Bajirao Mastani", film "Paani" got shelved just because he was not a star kid and productions houses like  "Dharma Production", "Yash Raj Films", "Bhansali production", etc didn't want to invest in him and they preferred other actors over him. Actors like Siddharth, Sushant, Rajkumar Rao, Randeep Hooda, Actress Prachi Desai, who are supremely talented but are continuously being deprived of their opportunities and what they deserve because of the star kids like Varun, Alia, Ananya Pandey, etc. Another example is Amit Sadh who is very talented but is banned from production houses of industry and now he is only doing web series and he is ruling web series as he one of the first choices for every series which is being made. Just because of nepotism he is not being able to act in movies but he never loosed hope and doing great in web series which is a great example of never giving up. Actors like Amit Sadh should never be left away and deprived from what they deserve.

This all is about the dark side of nepotism in the Bollywood industry. Let's have a look at the other part of Nepotism. Even at the place of David Dhawan, Mukesh Bhatt, if we were at their position and if we had the power and if we could help our children and daughters in making their life better then we would also have done the same. Because a father and mother do everything possible only for his daughter or son and if they cannot utilize their power then being a father or a mother at power is of no use. We will also do everything for our child but to help our child and daughter we should never demotivate other equally talented people from their opportunity. Your children should learn to earn what they deserve which everyone should do rather than being fed by their powerful dad and mom.

Nepotism has played a great role in providing generous, talented actors in the world. Not every star kid undeserving. There are many great examples in Bollywood, being a product of nepotism has done a lot and earned a lot of fans because of their hard work. Few examples are Hrithik Roshan if nepotism gives us products like him then I don't think anyone will have a problem with that because he is not only recognized in India but all also all over the world as "Most handsome men", "Greek God", etc. Another Example is Ranbir Kapoor who has fantastic skills and loved by the public. Actors and Actress who deserve to stay should not also be deprived because of being a star kid. And also not every new talent is Worthy enough to act in a film. So nepotism is good because if nepotism was not there then we might not have got the chance to enjoy Hrithik or Ranbir or other supremely talented star kid's performance. So Nepotism is not completely bad OR wrong at all too.

Non-star kids are not even getting what they deserve in this industry whereas Star-kids are getting what they don't deserve at all. Everyone should learn to earn what they deserve and what they don't. So we should start supporting and liking the trailer, videos, movies of new talent and non-star kids rather than hating star kids and disliking their videos, trailer, and movies and make them trend on youtube. A perfect example of it is the trailer of "Sadak 2" which is a star kid movie and most disliked movie trailer of the world but still trending in youtube whereas a non-star kid movie of Vidyut Jammwal "Khuda hafiz" is not getting enough likes and not trending at all.

So stop spreading hate and start spreading love and support new talents.
